As part of a new spirit of interfaith outreach, the Vatican is hosting a unique concert in November featuring twenty Cantors from the American Conference of Cantors (ACC). The concert will kick off a series of regional concerts across the US in 2011 and will be featured as part of a documentary.
I am thrilled and honored to have been selected to be among the cantors singing at this event. I am involved in interfaith work in my community in Nyack as a member of the Nyack Interfaith Clergy Association and believe that music is the primary language of G-d. I love to use music as way to buid bridges between faith communities.
Each Cantor has been asked to raise their own money to pay for their trip to Rome.I hope that you will support my interfaith work and make a generous donation to my cause.
Here’s the press release about the trip:
From the ACC website (http://www.accantors.org)
It is our pleasure to announce those Cantors who will proudly represent the ACC in Rome this November in a concert promoting Catholic-Jewish dialogue. The concert will be held at the Basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri. This group of Cantors was chosen from among the many submissions from our talented colleagues. The Cantors on this list represent the great diversity of our organization. In addition to those who are performing, Cantor Erik Contzius has graciously volunteered to compose a piece for this occasion.

Mazol Tov Sally! A great honor. Sign us up for a copy of the documentary.
Just wanted to let you know that we tried to donate, but when i pressed donate it took me to a PayPal page. Never got a confirmation that donation had been made. I think I either donated twice or not at all. Perhaps you can look at that.
